Another good option is to visit the volcanoes. For instance, the impressive Rincón de la Vieja which has 9 craters, boiling mud pots and lakes. Tourists can walk the trails and explore its park. The best time to visit this park is in the green season, from May to November, when boiling mud pots are more active.
